Freight forwarding and supply chain solutions provider Jeena & Company has partnered with Sangti Solutions, an industry-leading sustainability partner, with an aim to empower customers and partners in making meaningful progress on their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals.
According to the company, this new approach towards logistics will provide full visibility of CO2 emissions at the shipment level, allowing customers to monitor their emissions in real-time through the Jeena Customer Portal (JCP).
“Jeena is committing to implement comprehensive carbon tracking for all shipments handled for its customers. This portal will feature a customer tracker, enabling customers to access detailed emissions data specific to their shipments and take informed steps towards sustainability,” the company said in a statement.
Key features of this programme include:
- Generation of automated monthly carbon reports for identified customers, along with Management Information System (MIS) insights.
- Integration of customer carbon reports into the Jeena customer portal for easy access and transparency.
- Collaboration with the Jeena & Co. team to secure relevant data via API for accurate reporting and analysis.
- Functionality for identifying customer-specific decarbonisation initiatives, empowering clients to take proactive measures in reducing their carbon footprint.
“By utilising Sangti, the only GLEC-accredited tool in India, Jeena will deliver dependable, standardised emissions data. Jeena aims to pursue additional industry certifications and standards such as ISO and IGBC Green Interiors, further solidifying its commitment to sustainability and enhancing its operational excellence,” it said.
In addition to tracking customer emissions, Jeena is also embarking on an internal project to monitor and reduce its own CO2 emissions, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable practices throughout the organisation. This is an initial step in a comprehensive sustainability strategy that Jeena is excited to unveil in the coming months.
“At Jeena, we recognise the critical role sustainability plays in shaping the future of the logistics industry and our community in general. This initiative is a crucial part of our mission to drive positive change in the industry and bring about a larger impact to the environment, making our organisation ready for future generations,” Ayesha Katgara, Head of Corporate Strategy, Jeena & Company, said.
Commenting on the collaboration, Hitesh Bhuraria, CEO and Co-founder at Sangti said, “Comprehensive and granular tracking of carbon emissions is a critical first step towards decarbonization. Our collaboration will strengthen CO2 reporting and set a benchmark for the broader industry in terms of accuracy and auditability.”
