Ecom Express has inaugurated an extensive solar panel installation at their Jaipur warehouse, as a part of its sustainability initiative.
Additionally, the company has initiated an exclusive shift at the warehouse for female workers.
“The launch of solar panel installations at our Jaipur warehouse is a significant leap toward minimising our carbon footprint and leading the logistics industry by example. Likewise, by introducing a second shift and enhancing employment opportunities for women, we are actively promoting social governance and diversity within our workforce,” Vishwachetan Nadamani, Chief Operating Officer, Ecom Express, said.
The company aims to turn many locations into sustainable, energy-efficient hubs, greatly reducing environmental impact. “This step will greatly reduce the carbon footprint, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and supporting clean energy,” it said.
Ecom Express has its presence in all 28 states of the country and operates in over 2,700 towns across 27,000 PIN codes covering more than 97 of India’s population. the company has also built scalable, reliable and automated infrastructure with over 150 gateways, processing and fulfillment centers.
