GRSE bags USD 54 mn contract from Carsten Rehder for multi-purpose vessels

The contract also involves an option of building additional four multipurpose vessels at a cost of USD 54 million.

State-run Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) has bagged a USD 54 million contract from Carsten Rehder Schiffsmakler and Reederei GmbH & Co to construct and deliver four multi-purpose vessels.

GRSE has signed a contract with Carsten Rehder Schiffsmakler and Reederei GmbH & Co on design, build and deliver model for four multipurpose vessels of 7,500 DWT each.

The contract also involves an option of building additional four multipurpose vessels at a cost of USD 54 million, taking the total value of the order to USD 108 million.

The order is expected to be completed within 33 months from the date of the signing of the contract.
