TVS SCS bags multi-year contract from JCB for in-plant logistics at Vadodara

Global supply chain solutions provider TVS Supply Chain Solutions, has said that it has bagged a new contract from JCB in India involving managing in-plant warehousing and logistics operations at the latter’s facility in Vadodara, Gujarat, over the next three years.

This development marks a continuation of the long-standing partnership between TVS SCS and JCB, which spans over two decades. TVS SCS has been providing aftermarket warehouse services for JCB at their Bhaproda, Haryana location, focusing on parts distribution, the company said in a statement.

Under the terms of the new agreement, TVS SCS will deliver comprehensive in-plant logistics services at JCB’s Vadodara plant. These services will include end-to-end warehouse management, covering tasks from unloading and put-away of parts to picking and lineside feeding. To execute this contract effectively, TVS SCS plans to deploy advanced Material Handling Equipment (MHEs) and employ approximately 110 personnel.

JCB’s Vadodara plant is a critical manufacturing hub, producing fabrications and components for JCB’s global operations. This collaboration with TVS SCS is expected to enhance operational efficiency and streamline logistics processes at the facility.
