The logistics fraternity is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Hemant Joshi, a much-loved professional and cherished human being, who was among the 28 victims of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir.
The attack, one of the deadliest since the 2019 Pulwama tragedy, claimed innocent lives and left families and communities shattered.
Joshi, who served as the Business Development Manager – Air Freight Division at TransGlobal Logistics, was known for his infectious energy, unwavering dedication, and positive spirit.
Colleagues remember him as someone who could light up any room with his laughter and inspire those around him with his professionalism and drive. In every interaction, he brought with him a sense of joy, respect, and empathy—qualities that made him not just a valued teammate, but a true friend to many.
A resident of Dombivli, Joshi had set out on a vacation to Kashmir with his wife and young son on April 19. Accompanying them were two of his close friends, Sanjay Lele and Atul Mone, and their families. What was meant to be a trip filled with memories and bonding turned into an unspeakable tragedy. Joshi along with Lele and Mone, lost their lives in the ghastly act of violence.
Those who knew Joshi speak of his deep commitment to his work and his community. “He played an instrumental role in growing TransGlobal’s air freight division, always striving to find innovative solutions and build lasting relationships with clients,” a colleague said.
His untimely passing has left a deep void not only in the hearts of his family and friends but also in the logistics industry, where he made a meaningful impact.
As a mark of respect, the Belapur and Mumbai offices will remain closed tomorrow in remembrance.
The incident took place around 3 PM on April 22 when terrorists descended from the mountains into the Baisaran Valley and opened fire on tourists visiting the area, which is often referred to as ‘mini-Switzerland’ for its expansive, lush green meadows. The Resistant Front, an offshoot of the Lashkar-e-Taiba, has claimed responsibility for the attack.
